The Real Estate and Ops Support Department is seeking applicants
interested in the position of Facilities and Events Support
Associate.The Ops Support team is responsible for the space
planning and facility management of EAB's three office locations -
serving nearly 1900 employees. This role will be responsible for
coordinating day-to-day Washington, D.C facilities operational
needs as well as supporting audio-visual requests for our
conference rooms. As a Facilities and Events Support Associate,
you'll be at the heart of ensuring our office spaces are optimized
for productivity, events run seamlessly, and employees have the
support they need to thrive. Your days will be dynamic and
rewarding, as you'll be handling everything from maintaining tidy,
tech-ready workspaces to coordinating logistics for exciting
organizational events.This role is based in Washington, D.C.This
role is listed as Facilities Associate for posting purposes; the
official and internal title of this hire is expected to be
Facilities Associate to align with EAB business norms.Primary
Responsibilities:This Associate is responsible for facility and
audio-visual management including but not limited to the
following:
- Conduct daily office walk-throughs, ensuring every floor is
clean, functional, and fully prepped for productive work and
meetings.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, manage freight shipments
for exciting projects, and coordinate smooth delivery of resources
across the team.
- Coordinate building access - assisting with assigning,
troubleshooting, and administration of security credentials for EAB
and its subtenants.
- Be the go-to person for facility-related issues-diagnosing
problems, implementing fixes, and improving spaces for the
better.
- Schedule, document, and oversee maintenance and repair visits,
ensuring our facilities are always running at peak performance for
both EAB and its subtenants.
- Remain accountable to service tickets, seeing solutions through
in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Support setup and teardown of furniture, equipment, and
audio-visual systems for internal and external events, making sure
every gathering is an absolute success.
- Maintain knowledge of building systems, security, and safety
protocols, ensuring everything operates smoothly and in line with
best practices.
- Assist with scheduling building amenity reservations for EAB
and its subtenants.
- Connect with staff to build appropriate rapport; best
understanding the needs, expectations, and requirements to achieve
a high level of service and excellent employee experience.
- Assist across all Business Solution teams, including Events and
Tech Support.Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or GED
- 1+ year work experience
- Demonstrated success delivering service both internally and
externally and record of achievement
- Proven multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated organizational and detail-oriented approach to
work.
- Experience using Zoom, Outlook, Word, Excel and familiar with
Power Point
- An eye for detail, ensuring every space is clean and
well-maintained to the highest level.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to effectively and
efficiently solve problems, identify root causes and implement
solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with
staff, partners, and subtenants, understand their needs, and
provide top-notch service.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a continuous
basis
- Capable of standing for long periods of time

Qualifications:
- 1+ year work experience in a technical and / or operational
support role
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office
management and organization
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and working with
building maintenance vendors
- Experience developing personal organization tactics to meet
business goals
- Demonstrated computer and analytical skills- proficient in
Zoom, Outlook, Word, Excel and familiar with Power Point
- Experience in event and AV setups
- A passion for organization, logistics, and hands-on problem
solving - identifying needs and taking initiative to improve the
workplace experience and streamline processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate by e-mail and phone with
internal and external clients
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, as
well as autonomously.
