seamless, integrated information systems.The Architect, Connected
and Intelligent Solutions - Service Provider is responsible for
driving architectural initiatives for the Connected and Intelligent
Solutions - Service Provider Portfolio to deliver business
outcomes. This architect is responsible for providing architectural
clarity in support of business needs and systems operating
environment. This architect provides guidance and is responsible
for aligning the technical work of CIS-SP Portfolio and enterprise
strategic direction related to development and delivery of
technology stacks, interoperability, APIs, and deployment
strategies. This architect will provide direction within ARTs as
well as influence and knowledge sharing with the CIS-SP Architect,
Enterprise Architect, and across the enterprise.KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborating with the CIS-SP and Enterprise architects to
contribute to, understand and support the strategic technical
direction of the enterprise.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to provide a high-level,
all-inclusive vision of solutions and development initiatives.
- Defining key technical initiatives that support Lean Budgets
via Enabler Epics.
- Participating in all designing and code reviews.
- Helping in building value streams that adhere to the budget
guardrails for retiring solutions.
- Leading the strategy for building and maintaining the
architectural runway.
- Understanding and communicating Strategic Themes, and other key
business drivers for architecture, to technical and non-technical
stakeholders within the tenant.
- Driving architectural initiatives in the ART and participating
in epic analysis where applicable.
- Influencing common modeling, design, and coding practices.
- Promoting Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
capabilities.
- Collecting, generating, and analyzing innovative ideas and
technologies to use across the business.
- Facilitating the reuse of code, components, and proven
patterns.
- Synchronizing the following disciplines across solutions
whenever applicable: System and data security, quality production
infrastructure, user experience (Lean UX), scalability,
performance, and other Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs).
- Coaching developers and identifying training
opportunities.
- Preparing, managing, and coordinating breakdown of Portfolio
Enablers into ART or Team Enablers.
- Understanding the Architecture of all systems and addressing
conflicting or divergent approaches.Creating and implementing
strategies for technology adoption.Minimum Qualifications
- Personal and professional alignment with Expeditors culture and
ten critical success factors.
- Proven experience as a logistics and technology-oriented
leader.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot,
Microservices, Rest API, Soap, Kafka, Angular, Flutter, Kibana,
CI/CD pipelines, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
- Good knowledge in version control tools like GIT, Eclipse,
etc.
- Strong leadership, communication, and execution
capabilities.
- Experience in leading teams, collaborating with multiple
stakeholders, and driving implementations.
- Experienced problem solver, strong collaborator, and able to
provide clarity around complex topics, innovative thinker, and
effective decision-making skills.
- Experience with DevSecOps, Lean, Agile, and the Scaled Agile
Framework (SAFe).
- Assertive personality, interpersonal, action and outcome-driven
leadership.
- Ability to actively inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate.
- Ability to promote autonomy, mastery, and purpose through
empowerment and creating leaders.Good experience of working in an
Agile environment with multiple releases running parallel adhering
