Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader for our Prepared Foods department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Development: Lead and develop Team Members to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, while fostering a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising, work with the Team Leader to achieve sales and labor targets, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures, ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations, including Food Safety, and maintain awareness of new products and technologies.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Performance Management: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, and select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.Requirements
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy
  • Growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventoryWorking Conditions
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
    • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours
    • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
