Bring your curiosity and determination to make a positive impact on the future of transport, and we'll help you go all the way.Who are we looking for?We're looking for a Planning Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a fixed term contract until June 2025 based in Geraldton.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Process applications for third parties seeking approval to undertake work within the road reserve
• Maintain 'Third Party Work within the Road Reserve' Register
• Coordinate response to planning referrals and preliminary enquiries relating to sub-division, development applications and town planning schemes and assist to maintain the planning register
• Monitor and assist customers in compliance with conditions set for development and access applications
• Assist with other enquiries relating to Main Roads reserves and Network AccessWhat you will bring to the team:
  • Experience in planning processes; project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
  • Research, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Written communication and report writing
  • Knowledge of land acquisition and development processes: project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
