Program Supervisor to oversee a NAVSEA program based in Washington,
DC in a hybrid capacity. This function plans, directs, and
coordinates operational aspects of designated projects to ensure
that goals or objectives of program are accomplished within
prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the
following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
What will you do?
- Assembles program staff.
- Reviews program proposal or plan to determine time frame,
funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing program, staffing
requirements, and allotment of available resources to various
phases of program.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of program
and arranges for recruitment or assignment of program
personnel.
- Confers with program staff to outline work plan and to assign
duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel to
ensure program progresses on schedule and within prescribed
budget.
- Reviews status reports prepared by program personnel and
modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Prepares program reports for management, client, or
others.
- Confers with program personnel to assess program issues and to
develop resolution.
- Coordinates program activities with activities of government
regulatory or other governmental agencies.Supervisory
Responsibilities
- Assist Program Manager in leading a team. Plan, direct, and
coordinate the operations of a NAVSEA support contract by
formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the
use of materials and human resources.
- Effectively integrate General Administration, Business &
Financial Management, and Strategic Planning support across all
areas.
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and
evaluation of these units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems. Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and fifteen
(15) years of relevant program management experience to manage
large major programs, systems development, and technology
initiatives in support of program initiatives, including
responsibility for for managing programs overall cost, schedule,
performance and risk, performing oversight of personnel management
and security, and applying relevant government policies and
guidance in their program management OR a Master's Degree in
relevant field and seven (7) years' experience to manage large
major programs, systems development, and technology initiatives in
support of program initiatives, including responsibility for
managing programs overall cost, schedule, performance and risk,
performing oversight of personnel management and security, and
applying relevant government policies and guidance in their program
management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.Desired qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program
Management.
- Certified SCRUM Master or Project Management Institute (PMI)
Agile Certified Practitioner
- Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Familiarity
- Communication and Briefing Skills
- Program Management experience running a large support services
contract with subcontractors
- Experience with cost, schedule and performance management as it
relates to program execution.
