The team is involved in the operation and sustainment of multiple operational cloud and on-premise deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with the installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of this on-premise system. The candidate will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent tasks effectively.RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in the administration, configuration, and deployment of the mission capability; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and respond to user INCs (Incident Reports); proactively recommending configuration changes to help improve system performance; deploying security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; authoring and updating operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs; and migrating system and software packages to RHEL 9.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CLEARANCE: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph post-hire
• DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)
• Requires BS degree and minimum 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; OR additional years of experience in lieu of degree
• Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent tasks in an effective manner
• Extensive experience configuring and deploying Linux operating systems
• Experience migrating systems and software packages to RHEL 9
• Experience performing security updates (running and applying patches)
• Linux system administration experience: provisioning end users
• Experience scripting for administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation
• Experience using DevOps processes and technologies
• Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development, and SW Sustainment PracticesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Red Hat certification(s)
  • Experience using AWS/Cloud technologies
  • Experience implementing automation solutions to reduce engineering and/or end-user labor time
