Based in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Pivot Path
Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and management

customers. Pivot Path Solutions is currently seeking a highly
skilled Level III System Administrator to manage and maintain the
customer's server and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal
performance, security, and availability.To be successful in this
role, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system
installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and
security management.Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and support for servers, operating
systems, and network devices.
- Ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operation of
information systems and network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain system software, hardware, and
related infrastructure.
- Ensure systems are set up according to organizational standards
and operational requirements.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization to identify
and resolve issues proactively.
- Perform regular system performance tuning and optimization to
maintain high levels of efficiency.
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect systems and
data.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure
compliance with DoD and DHA security standards.
- Manage and execute backup and recovery processes to ensure data
integrity and availability.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize
downtime in case of system failures.
- Utilize incident management systems (e.g., MHS ServiceNow) to
log, track, and resolve system-related incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues promptly to
minimize operational impact.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations,
changes, and incidents.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on system performance,
issues, and resolutions.
- Work closely with network operations and other IT teams to
ensure seamless integration and support of systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on
system status and address any concerns.
- Provide support and training to other team members and
end-users on system-related topics.
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and standard
operating procedures for system administration.
- Stay updated with the latest system administration technologies
and best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the
performance, security, and reliability of systems.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency.
- Six (6) years of progressive experience that demonstrate the
required proficiency.
- Certification:
- IAT II Department of Defense Commercial Certificates for DoD
8570.01-M requirement and CE:
- CE: Professional level certification for supported technology,
such as:
- A+ CE
- CCNA Security
- CND
- CySA+
- GISCP
- GSEC
- Network+ CE
- SSCP
- Clearance:
