Job Description:
The Shorelands & Environmental Assistance (SEA) program within
the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Riparian Systems
Technical Lead (Environmental Specialist 5) position.This position
can be located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA; or our
Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA. Upon hire, you
must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.Please
Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in
our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA, there will be
an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County.
In this instance, the salary range will be $6195 - $8329 per
month.Would you like to help play a role in salmon recovery in the
Puget Sound? In this position, you will be at the forefront of
implementing a $30 million EPA grant for innovation in riparian
restoration in the Puget Sound basin. As such, you'll be part of a
team helping to determine where investments are made and what
activities are funded. You will have the opportunity to work with
professionals in the riparian restoration community and leaders in
Puget Sound recovery, building relationships with a range of
stakeholders invested in salmon population recovery.Your team is
part of the Wetlands Section, a collaborative group of
professionals emphasizing information sharing and learning. The
section includes our riparian grant team, lead wetland scientist,
policy lead, local government liaison, mitigation compliance team,
and wetland mitigation banking team. Our wetland section is growing
with new staff having recently joined. Come join our team!Agency
