Job Description:
SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking a Sr. Account Executive in
the Gaithersburg, MD area.
Overview:
An Account Executive will successfully develop, cultivate and
maintain positive relationships with potential clients, both newly
acquired as well as assigned. The Senior Account Executive will
have access to a regionally dedicated team of systems engineers to
help uncover, develop and deliver elite solutions to current and
potential customers.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve growth objectives through relationship building with
Mid-Tier and Fortune 1000 executives and managers.
• Identify customer IT Roadmaps and create comprehensive solutions
leveraging SLAIT?s capabilities to satisfy customer
requirements.
• Develop new account relationships.
• Maintain and grow existing client revenues through cross-selling
of SLAIT?s solution stack.
• Establish and maintain excellent manufacturer/partner
relationships in the pursuit of incremental business
opportunities.
• Reside in local sales area. Strong local client knowledge and
existing client and vendor relationships A MUST
• Proven Success selling to large scale commercial organizations -
Private Sector Only
• Must demonstrate ability to qualify, penetrate, and close new
accounts as well as maintaining existing book of clients.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and time
management skills.
• Education and Experience:
• Proven success selling to commercial organizations at the CXO and
VP level
• BA/BS in Business, Management, Computer Science or Engineering
fields preferred.
• Proven prior success selling technology solutions in the
private/commercial space - wireless, storage, virtualization, data
center and DR solutions.
• REQUIRED Product knowledge and sales success with major OEMs like
NetApp, Citrix, VMware, Cisco, HP, BlueCoat, Riverbed, Juniper,
etc.
• Minimum of 10+ years experience includes selling technology
solutions including wireless, security, IP Telephony, storage,
virtualization, data center and DR solutions.
Job Purpose:
Increase revenue and market presence through effective solution
selling into new accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Achieve aggressive but realistic growth objectives through
relationship building with Small and Mid-Tier executives and
managers.
• Identify customer IT Roadmaps and create comprehensive solutions
leveraging SLAIT?s capabilities to satisfy customer
requirements.
• Develop new account relationships.
• Establish and maintain excellent manufacturer/partner
relationships in the pursuit of incremental business
opportunities.
• Develop and implement quarterly account marketing plan.
• Provide monthly forecast and quarterly reviews for assigned
territory.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Conduct business in a professional, competent and ethical
manner.
Job Knowledge/Skills:
• Reside in local sales area.
• Knowledge of account and client profiles within territory a
must.
• Must demonstrate ability to qualify, penetrate, and close new
accounts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and time
management skills.
• Proven ability to leverage subject matter experts to further the
sales process.
• Possess ability to work independently.
Education and Experience:
• Proven success selling to SMB accounts at the CXO and VP
level.
• BA/BS in Business, Management, Computer Science or Engineering
fields preferred.
• Minimum of 4+ years? experience includes selling technology
solutions including storage, virtualization, data center and DR
solutions.
