Job Description:
The Technical Project Manager will support the delivery of
complex enterprise Information Technology solutions that use
Microsoft, ERP and Cloud Computing technologies. The Technical
Project Manager will work as part of a team and will be hands-on
requiring the delivery of program deliverables. The Technical
Project Manager will need to have a technical background with prior
development and infrastructure support experience and demonstrated
ability to understand business requirements, analyze and create
system requirements, and create high quality technical deliverables
for complex enterprise systems that include Microsoft technologies
such as SharePoint, CRM, ERP Systems, Cloud Computing Platforms,
Identity Management, Data Management and Security among others. The
Technical Project Manager must have a strong client service and
delivery-oriented mindset and demonstrate the ability to provide
innovative solutions to complex problems. Specific roles and
responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the
following:
• Delivery of complex enterprise systems including architecture,
systems requirements, systems design, and systems development
lifecycle and management
• Analyze business requirements and translate into system
requirements captured in project deliverables including system
design architecture, systems requirements, and management
deliverables
• Participating in and contributing to the design and testing
phases of the project by performing product research, analyzing
solution alternatives, drafting recommendations and helping drive
customers to decisions
• Developing and delivering complex IT systems, which includes
requirements discovery, design, implementation, testing and
deployment activities
• Meeting project commitments, including communication with
customers and stakeholders and helping coordinate and test the
internal delivery of the solution
• Working with a team, with the ability to multi-task and support
assigned project tasks and activities with minimal supervision and
training
Required Skills
• Working knowledge of existing and emerging technologies such as
Microsoft SharePoint, Cloud Computing especially AWS and Azure.
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills and experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in SDLC methodologies, Agile
Methodology preferred
• Ability to grasp information technology concepts and
processes
• Ability to follow a defined, agreed upon project management
methodology
• Ability to contribute and assist in management-related activities
for small to medium sized project efforts
Required Experience
• At least 8 years of increasingly responsible experience,
including experience successfully managing various projects
• Bachelor?s degree required
• Experience with industry-recognized system development and IT
services delivery methodologies such as ITIL, RUP or Agile Delivery
frameworks
• Experience leading the discovery and design phases of a complex
project and ability to discover and document requirements
• Experience facilitating the definition of project missions,
goals, tasks, and resource requirements, and identifying and
documenting any delivery and solution risks
• Experience facilitating the definition of service levels and
customer requirements
• Experience interacting regularly with existing or potential
customers to determine their needs and to develop plans for
improving delivery
• Experience working cross-functionally to solve problems and
implement changes
• Experience perform testing and validation of the developed
solution with the ability to perform simple technical tasks like
logging into systems, generating test data, writing testing
scripts/test cases and helping ensure the integrity of the
developed solution
• PMP certification preferred
• ITIL certification preferred
• Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust
Clearance
