Expert REXX DB2 Clist Control –M  Dialog Manager Developer  MD
 
Modis is in need of a solid mainframe developer who can take direction from the customer, work independently, maintain attention to detail, and perform what can be repetitious and tedious workloads.  The successful candidate will support the following effort:
Senior Mainframe lead developer will be responsible for the planning, analysis, development, testing, problem resolution, and implementation of production processes in support of the addition of new validation groups and file systems. Candidate will work independently on high-profile projects with the potential to lead several senior developers. Extensive customer interaction and substantial written reporting due to the involvement of project meetings and code development activities involving multiple stakeholders. Develop new code -e.g., JCL, REXX, CLIST, Control-M as required. The successful candidate should be well versed in IBM System Utilities with prior experience with Systems Development.
 
 
Position Description:
This resource will report to the Validation and Testing team and will be responsible for the planning, execution, problem resolution, and re-execution as required and, of Validation test cycles. Metrics and reporting to the customer on the outcome of said testing. Maintain and developing new code -JCL,REXX, etc as required.
 
Skills Requirements:

• 
  

• Candidate must have at least 11yrs exp.
• Expert REXX skills are critical.
• Experience in IBM z/OS - OS/390/MVS application development, production control, or job scheduling. z/OS IBM mainframe experience with JCL, TSO, ISPF.
• Experience developing and maintaining JCL and related entities for application software systems.
• DB2 - SQL programming experience to enable analysis of code written by others.
• Strong REXX and/or CLIST experience to automate job processing.
• Experience with Control-M or other mainframe-based job scheduling tools.
• Experience with mainframe-based software configuration management systems such as ENDEVOR.
• Experience with Fileaid/RDX
• Experience in an industry accepted SDLC.

 
Education -Level of Experience
BA/BS degree + 11 years of IT experience.
 
Background check: Must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
