QA Automation Developer

Location: Arlington, VA

Pay Rate: Up to $140,000

You would be a key member of our IT development team, which is responsible for the definition, development and testing of internal and external business applications. Your primary role will be to define and develop automated quality assurance plans, test cases and scripts. Working with quality assurance engineers and developers, you will help define the automated testing strategy for our applications and take the lead in increasing the test coverage of the applications.

? Identify and evaluate testing and productivity tools that will facilitate and automate testing of various application components

? Define and develop quality assurance plans and test cases by analyzing business/technical requirements and system designs

? Develop and revise automated test scripts for smoke testing, UAT testing and integration testing

? Develop reports that track software discrepancies and work work with team members to interpret test results and devise solutions to remedy issues

? Effectively utilize tools such as Selenium, Cucumber and Gherkin for test cases, JIRA for issue tracking, and Git for configuration management

What qualifications are required?

? Experience: A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance automation. A minimum of 3 years of hands on development experience in Java technologies.

? Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Java based automation tools preferably Selenium.

? Working knowledge of developing test cases in Cucumber and Gerkin.

? Experience with UNIX, Oracle and SQL databases is considered a plus.

? Abilities: Excellent problem solving skills; ability to multi-task within tight deadlines; excellent organizational skills; self-directed and results/goal oriented. Strong oral and written communication skills.

? Education: Bachelor?s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. Financial services industry experience is considered a plus.
