looking for a Database Administrator with experience in performance
tuning of queries and databases in general. The ideal candidate
will have experience in database design, maintenance, backup and
recovery expertise in a complex environment.Responsibilities
include:
Design, implement, and maintain
robust, scalable, and performant databases to support customer
applications, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing
strategies, and database configurations.Design and build data
pipelines to integrate data from disparate sources into a single
data warehouse.Ensure data quality and consistency across all
stages of the ETL process.Monitor database performance and
proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize
downtime.Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data
integrity and availability. Perform regular database maintenance
tasks such as backups, restores, and integrity checks.Monitor
database performance and identify areas for optimization. Utilize
tools like Report Builder, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
(SSRS), and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to create
informative reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Utilize
PowerBI Report Builder for crafting custom paginated
reports.Provide data-driven intelligence to key stakeholders
throughout the businessConduct analysis and routine KPI reporting
to support business operationsCollaborate with cross-functional
teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines for database changes
and version control processes. The candidate should be familiar
with the DevOps tools (Chef, ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, and
Nexus).Automate routine database administration tasks and create
scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Troubleshoot
and consult with project teams for resolution on the most complex
technical issues or business situations and make recommendations to
improve or enhance existing architectural direction for future
system offerings.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical
discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with database support, including MS
SQL Server, PostGRES, DB2, and Cassandra. 2+ years of experience
with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau,
Qlik.Understanding of administration of database management systems
(DBMS) such as, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server, DB2Demonstrated
expertise in PowerBI Report BuilderKnowledge of database design and
development conceptsFamiliarity with database performance tuning
and optimization techniquesKnowledge and familiarity with MS SQL
Report BuilderFamiliarity with SQL and database scripting languages
such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, or SQL*PlusMust be a self-starter with
excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to
work seamlessly in a cross-functional team environment as well as
independently.Excellent problem-solving skills.Willingness to learn
business operations of a complex Model Based Systems Engineering
software enterprise.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610
- $215270Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
