Come join the excellence!OverviewThe DBA is responsible for support, maintenance, and development of the TNS's databases which support a wide variety of TNS products. This DBA should have experience in multiple flavors of database technologies like Oracle, MongoDB, MariaDB in a Linux environment and MS SQL Server. This person should be a self-motivated individual with good communication skills and able to work well in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities

  • Provide Database Administration and day-to-day support of databases mainly Oracle, MariaDB, MongoDB, and SQL Server databases.
  • Implement and support Administration tasks such as backup and recovery procedures, database utilities, and data replication technologies while supporting the development, test, and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support. Support will involve effective communication to internal and external customers on SQL bugs, application issues, and identify anomalies to implement corrective actions for all production and non-production environments in a timely fashion.
  • Manage organizational data definitions and process-flows to ensure consistency, security, and accuracy of transactional data.
  • Provide technical services to monitor and maintain environments, running on the organization's strategic platforms including periodic software upgrades, vulnerability patching, and migration of the databases.
  • Document operational or newly engineered solutions properly to educate and inform the IT Support staff at various levels.
  • Create and maintain Linux and SQL scripts to automate scheduled tasks, monitor and database alerts.
  • Log, schedule, and track all changes using change management system tools.
  • Responsible for all corrections to the database infrastructure and for repairs to the system or database.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support in rotation for production databases.Candidates must possess:
    • Must have 6+ years of advanced database administration experience with a large-scale Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server in multi-node clustered environments including replication and security.
    • Working experience of database administration experience in MongoDB and MariaDB with development experience.
    • Working experience in database administration and data migration in cloud and AWS technologies with development experience preferred.
    • Working experience in Oracle RAC environment, preferably with Oracle Goldengate.
    • Must be strong with SQL Maintenance, Back-up, SQL Stored Procedures, High-Availability, Performance Tuning, and Future Architecture Design and Expansion.
    • Working knowledge of data modeling; database administration problems and requirements; and database analysis and design procedures, techniques, and implementation.
    • Experience with Database Warehousing, Decision Support, and OLTP.
    • Strong working experience in reviewing, writing, and debugging, tuning complex SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers etc.
    • Experience with advanced SQL Server network connectivity and protocols.
    • Strong working experience using various database Tools and SQL Performance Analyzer etc.
    • Highly motivated with a commitment to quality service.
    • Strong knowledge of managing projects and excellent communication skills required.
    • Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and work well under pressure.
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and straightforwardly.
