The ideal candidate will provide critical care and therapeutic respiratory services to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, treat, and educate patients of all ages, ensuring optimal respiratory health and recovery.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n

  • Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions through diagnostic tests and physical examinations.\n
  • Administer therapeutic treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator support.\n
  • Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, adjusting settings as needed to ensure proper oxygenation and ventilation.\n
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis to evaluate oxygen, carbon dioxide, and pH levels.\n
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage, such as inhalers or CPAP machines.\n
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.\n
  • Provide emergency care, including airway management, intubation assistance, and resuscitation during critical situations.\n
  • Maintain and operate advanced respiratory care equipment, ensuring its cleanliness and functionality.\n
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.\n
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in respiratory care techniques and technologies.\n\n\nQualifications:\n

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.\n
    • Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.\n
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).\n
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (PALS or NRP preferred for pediatric/neonatal care).\n
    • Strong clinical and technical skills in respiratory care management.\n
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.\n
