Purpose: This position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Job Summary: The Physical therapist will carry pit an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Position Responsibilities: (include, but are not limited to) Evaluate patients' physical abilities and limitations, as well as their medical history and overall health Develop treatment plans that outline the specific goals and interventions for each patient Use a variety of techniques to help patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and prevent disability, including exercises, stretches, and manual therapy Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to coordinate patient care and provide a holistic approach to treatment Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed Educate patients and families about their condition and how to manage it at home Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures. Stay up to date with the latest physical therapy techniques and best practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities May also be responsible for supervising physical therapy assistants or aides. Physical Requirements: Extensive standing and walking Lifting, position, pushing, and/or transferring patients Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, keeling, and crouching Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
