Job Description:

The Workday Security Manager works under the direct supervision of the Technical Product Owner, at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the Division of Information Technology (DIT). The incumbent will lead the development, configuration, and oversight of the Security domain and subject areas to support Workday HCM, Finance and Student modules.

Please note that all positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week. Telework is not a guaranteed work arrangement.



This position is considered essential and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain the continuity of University services.



Physical Demands: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.



Preferences: University of Maryland experience, Workday or modern SaaS ERP experience, ERP implementation experience

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three (3) years of professional information technology experience. One (1) year leading or supervising professional staff.



Other:

* Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

* Knowledge of UNIX Linux, BSD, AIX, Solaris, IDAP, Kerberos, Lan and Wan TCP/IP networking fundamentals.

* Knowledge of best practices in administration and customer service.

* Skill in oral and written communication.

* Skill in the use of Google Office Suite.

* Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

* Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
