American Heart Association has a phenomenal opportunity for an
Associate Regulatory Affairs Manager with our Federal Advocacy Team
in our Washington, DC office (hybrid work arrangements
available).Under the direction of the Director, Federal Regulatory
Affairs, you would be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and
drafting responses to a defined set of federal regulatory issues
and representing the American Heart Association before federal
agencies. The primary focus of your regulatory work would be the
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture
(USDA). Core topics would include nutrition, food labeling, and
prevention, with the opportunity to assist on other topics as
needed. In addition to drafting comment letters, you would work
with other advocacy, grassroots, and communications staff to help
develop strategies to advance the association's regulatory
priorities in these areas. As part of your work, you would serve on
internal committees, external workgroups and coalitions, and
participate in meetings with federal agency officials and staff.
Other duties may include helping prepare senior staff and
volunteers for meetings with Administration officials or public
meetings, including preparing oral statements and presentations.The
