DC 20005, USA DescriptionJob SummaryThe Senior Business Development
Manager for Budgeting and Compliance will lead revenue planning and
advise on regional divisions' revenue goals. This role will align
division leadership's strategy and vision with the day-to-day
operations of the business development team and supervise the
Senior Cost Specialists.This is a hybrid role based in Washington,
DC.Primary Functions & Responsibilities:Business Development Team
Management
- Regularly works with division leadership as a member of the
Business Development management team.
- Leads the BD overhead and revenue planning process with BD
Director by analyzing spending and projecting future rates of
return.
- Contributes to business development planning discussions with
regional divisions to support revenue goals.
- Advises on planning discussions to allocate funds by providing
intel on current country portfolios.Cost Team Leadership and
Oversight
- Provides oversight over Cost Team personnel and manages overall
cost application volume.
- Works closely with the BD Technical Team to align strategy and
operations.
- Builds cost and budget compliance across the Institute.
- Responsible for developing curriculum and conducting training
for budgeting and cost matters.Cost Application Management
- Oversees cost application process for all business development
opportunities.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts for cost development tools
and templates.
- Collaborates with proposal team and business development staff
to provide strategic cost inputs.Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6-8 years of experience in USG-funded projects.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal government
circulars.
- Ability to travel
internationally.QualificationsEducationRequired: Bachelor's or
better in Political Science or related field.ExperienceRequired:
