Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/ .The Associate Director Thought Leader Liaison's (TLL) key primary responsibility is to support US Commercial Strategic Imperatives for the Johnson & Johnson Neurology Rare Disease portfolio. The TLL is an exceptional business leader with deep neurology experience who will work regionally to drive results in two main areas: KOL Engagement and Impact Drivers. This role will ensure close working relationship with cross-functional partners in cross-functional market teams, in a compliant manner. This position will be field based.Key Responsibilities:KOL EngagementIdentify, cultivate, and maintain long-standing relationships with national and regional KOLsSupport commercial KOL influence-mapping initiatives by developing profiles and engagement/communication plans for each assigned KOL and validate commercial target listMonitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact commercial strategy and provide feedback and input into business plansAddress customer service issues/ needs and coordinate cross-functional action plans to address on-label issues as needed to ensure flawless customer experience for KOL accountsAct as a liaison between KOLs and Johnson & Johnson for approved commercial activities and with leadership and office-based cross-functional colleaguesAttend and coordinate regional and national congresses to support marketing initiatives, identify & select speakers for product theatres, and coordinate KOL engagement activitiesAssist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insightsAssist commercial team with KOL recruitment for ad hoc initiatives such as sales training initiatives, presentations at national sales meetings, content development for commercial programs, presentations to office-based employees, etc.Collaborate with Marketing to refine positioning, branded and unbranded campaigns and above-brand initiatives; assist in the development of strategies/messaging to drive treatment educationAlign with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customersSpeaker Bureau Management and Program FacilitationWork with field and office-based colleagues to identify, contract, and train qualified speakersProvide real time assessment of program effectiveness and ongoing coaching to speakersAssess speaker utilization and program logistics to ensure compliance with internal corporate policies and guidelinesPlay a key role in speaker training meetings by collaborating with marketing on content preparation and workshop deliveryWork with Marketing, sales leadership, and contracted speakers to gain and synthesize feedback in support of the evolution of promotional programming content, case studies for potential publications, and other commercial projectsWork with Marketing and Sales to optimally plan speaker program utilization and identify and recruit KOLs for speaking opportunitiesResponsible for delivering education opportunities to support Healthcare Providers in the disease management and treatment of generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG)Impact DriversIdentify and develop hard to access Academic Institutions/Health Systems to address policy and business issues as well as formulary decisions by creating access and developing AdvocacyIdentify immediate growth opportunities & potential risk areas within chosen Academic Institutional/Health System channel and implements strategies; collaborate with field partners to execute on strategiesThink critically to navigate complexities within identified Academic Institutions/Health SystemsIdentify and build new advocacy with Future Clinical Champions (i.e. Residents/Fellows, NP/PA's, Community Neuro's, etc.)Support corporate initiatives through tactical execution aligning with TLL responsibilitiesSkills and Competencies:Strong scientific acumen and business mindsetStrong leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to listen actively and synthesize information in a meaningful wayExcellent communication (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to present to large and small audiencesExceptional organizational skillsDemonstrated fluency in articulating complex scientific concepts and dataGood judgment, ability to adapt and change in a shifting environmentStrategic, passionate, self-starter who takes initiativeMust work well in large and small teams, ability to work remotelyStrong aptitude to effectively collaborator on cross-functional teams with a variety of technical expertise and backgroundStrong understanding of the laws, regulations and rules governing the pharmaceutical industry and compliant interactions with Healthcare ProvidersAbility to travel 60%-70%QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent is required. Advanced health science degree is a plus.At least 10 years of combined neurology, Rare Disease, or other related industry experience; Marketing or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area a plus.A minimum of 5 or more years work experience in one or more of the following: clinical liaison, thought leader management, key account management or clinical sales.Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding expectations in assigned responsibilities as confirmed by references.Demonstrated ability to lead teams directly and indirectly.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations and identify trends and creative business solutions.A valid driver's license in the United States is required.The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year.
