Job Description:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all daily accounting operations, providing timely and accurate financial reporting, managing cash on a day-to-day basis, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, establishing and maintaining internal controls, and providing financial expertise that helps drive effective business decisions. They will ensure comprehensive, accurate, and timely financial statements and reports, presenting key insights and trends to leadership. They will develop and implement internal controls, minimizing financial risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. They will hire, train, manage and develop accounting staff, providing consistent guidance and constructive feedback.
Role Reports to: CFO
Primary Responsibilities:
-Own all aspects of Accounting operations, including: o Regular financial reporting (e.g., monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements)
o Management of cash for multiple bank accounts
o Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to the CFO and other Executive Team members
o Management of the Accounting Team

- Manages all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including ongoing maintenance and improvements to accounting and billing systems and controls
-Reviews and assesses all regular transactions, investments and any business opportunities that affect the bottom line and operations of the business
-Ensures accounting records are accurate and balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
-Monitors all business transactions and coordinates with other department leaders
-Continuously improves team productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes
-Manages annual financial statement audits and assists with preparation of tax returns

Skill Requirements
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
-Ten years of applicable accounting experience including management of personnel
-Proven analytical and computational skills
-Highly organized, critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail
-Demonstrated leadership abilities
-Advanced skills with Microsoft Suite (especially Excel)
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
