DutiesThe Supervisory Budget Analyst duties include:Budget
Formulation and Execution: Oversees the formulation, justification,
and execution of the budget for a major organizational component,
ensuring alignment with organizational goals and
priorities.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises and directs the
work of budget analysts, providing guidance, setting performance
expectations, and conducting performance appraisals.Policy
Development: Develops and implements budget policies and
procedures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and
providing advice to senior management on budgetary
matters.Financial Analysis: Conducts in-depth financial analysis to
support decision-making, including the identification of trends,
risks, and opportunities within the budget.Liaison Role: Acts as a
liaison with other departments and external agencies, representing
the organization in budgetary matters and facilitating coordination
on financial issues.The ideal candidate is an experienced budget
professional with a strong background in federal budget processes,
exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and
implement budget policies. They should have a proven track record
of managing complex budgets, leading a team of analysts, and
providing strategic financial guidance to senior

300, Subpart F. QualificationsTo meet the minimum qualifications
for this position, you must meet the specialized experience
requirements.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least
one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the
GS-14, it must include:Experience in budget formulation, execution,
and financial analysis in a federal setting, include supervising
budget staff, developing budget policies, and providing expert
advice on budgetary matters to senior management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the
basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or
competencies in the following areas:Leadership - Influences,
motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a
variety of situations.Written Communication-Writes in a clear,
concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended
audience.Budget Administration - Knowledge of the principles and
practices of budget administration and analysis; including
preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and
the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting
systems.Decision Making-- Makes sound, well-informed, and objective
decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions;
commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish
organizational goals; causes change.For all types of consideration,

volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace
Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional,
philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
