Job Number 661195BR Description:Within Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems (RMS), we are seeking a motivated and experienced Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support RMS 5G/NextG programs including the Open Systems Interoperable and Reconfigurable Infrastructure Solution (OSIRIS) programOSIRIS is a high-profile 5G program delivering deployable 5G solutions to the DoDOSIRIS is one project within the RMS 5G/NextG campaignThe RMS 5G/NextG campaign is leveraging Lockheed Martin's 5G.mil - technology for insertion for RMS Contracted Research and Development (CRAD) programs and key capturesAs a I&T Engineer you will be supporting the development and integration of the OSIRIS 5G solutionOur 5G solutions adapt the Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) architectureCritical to its success is the integration of multi-vendor components fundamental to ORANThat is where you come in: the I&T engineer will need to integrate the piece parts of the system to ensure connection and communicationYour knowledge of Linux is essential as you'll be operating in a Linux operating systemYou'll be doing file system navigation, modifying files via CLI using VIM or nano, collecting information about the system using Linus CLI networking tools and performing environment managementBuilding this system will require knowledge of networking, for example Proxy management, Switch configuration, Cable management/organizationHaving some experience in this area will set up for success in this roleYour scripting experience will allow you to understand existing scripts, creating startup scripts and bundling high level scriptsWorking in an ORAN 5G architecture is on cutting edgeTherefore this role will give you the opportunity to learn about these technologies and its benefit for our military customerPrior experience with similar technologies will help you come up to speed, but what you don't know yet are skills you'll grow on the jobWorking in the Research and Development area can be exciting but at times frustratingWe're looking for someone who is interested in learning these new technologies and willing to deal with the roadblocks and setbacks related to breaking new groundAs a result, you'll be expected to work through dependencies, tackles critical issues quickly, and jump in wherever the team needs it, even if it may not be the typical I&T responsibilitiesBeing a team player who is willing to learn new things will allow you to thrive in this role#RMSC6ISR
Basic Qualifications:
--- Career interest in 5G and telecommunications
--- Comfortable in Linux OS Command Line Interface
--- Experience writing scripts
--- Knowledge in some areas of networking such as Proxy management, Switch configuration, Cable management/organization
Desired Skills:
--- Experience with system level hardware and software integration --- Experience managing a Network architecture --- Experience with software compiling and runtime --- Familiarity with SW configuration management (e.g., XML)
--- Familiar with concepts of Single Root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV), physical functions, and virtual functions
--- RF Radio integration experience
--- Baseband network configuration
--- Familiarly with the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK)
--- Ability to effectively troubleshoot L1 through L3 of the OSI model
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
